Remove the exhaust sticker from the window
Have you changed your license plate or bought another car? How to remove the old exhaust sticker from the window in order to attach a new one.
What you need:
- hairdryer
- Ceran field scraper
- nail polish remover
- Scouring pad
- water
- Rag
- Glass cleaner
First of all: Never put a back on the exhaust sticker knife to body. This leaves unsightly scratch.
This is how you remove the exhaust sticker gently
- First try to pull the sticker off as normal. Sometimes you can be lucky and the annoying sticker can be removed that way.
- If that doesn't work then you will have to resort to tougher means. Warm up the exhaust sticker with a hair dryer. Attention: Please do not get too hot so that the sticker does not melt.
- Now take a ceramic hob scraper or an ice scraper to hand. In a pinch, an (old) credit card will do the job.
- Carefully slide the scraper under the sticker. Remove it completely.
- Now unsightly glue remains. To get rid of these, soak a scouring pad with nail polish remover. But be careful: Avoid any contact with the paint pad or your own clothes. Use the remover only on the glass. Carefully rub off the adhesive residue with the remover.
- Then wipe off the nail polish remover with a cloth soaked in water.
- Last but not least, wipe it over with glass cleaner and make the pane shine again.
