Pentagram - you need to know that

  • The pentagram is known to most as the five-pointed star, also called the five-pointed star.
  • The term "pentagram" comes from the Greek, by the way, who already knew and used this figure, and means "five lines".
  • If you look closely you can actually see that the pentagram is composed of five straight lines of equal length.
  • Nevertheless, one can find a number of similar ones in a pentagram Triangles recognize.
  • Incidentally, the apex angles of a pentagram are 36 °.

Draw a pentagram - this is how it will be easy

Theoretically, you could now try to draw such a five-pointed star with a ruler and a set square by using a tip with a 36 ° -angle construct and then reproduce them accordingly. However, the following construction from a regular pentagon (also called a pentagon) is much simpler. However, you also need a pair of compasses or a round box.

  1. Draw a circle that should be the size of your desired pentagram.
  2. First, a regular pentagon is drawn in this circle, the corner points of which lie on the circular line.
  3. Draw in any radius. In the case of the can, however, you have to estimate the center point; a compass is therefore more accurate.
  4. Starting from this radius, enter an angle of 72 ° at the center of the circle and mark the intersection of the leg with the circular line. This is the second corner of your pentagon.
  5. Proceed with the removal of the angle accordingly until you have found the five corner points of the pentagon on the circular line.
  6. Now connect these points to form a regular pentagon.
  7. The pentagram can now be easily drawn from this pentagon. Connect one corner point to the next but one point of the pentagon. The pentagram arises from these five connecting chords.
