Fasten the fly screen with tape

• Comfort versions of fly screens are usually made of aluminum and have to be cut precisely with a miter saw.
• It's faster and cheaper with the Tesa fly screen. This can easily be cut with scissors. It is then attached to the window frame using masking tape and can be easily removed at any time.
• The masking tape adheres to aluminum, PVC and wood, is self-adhesive and can be removed without leaving any residue. This is particularly important for rented apartments, as damage to windows when moving out can be expensive.

How to attach the fly screen with tape

So that window can be closed without any problems despite the mosquito net, preferably attach the grille to the inside lying edge of the window frame, but never on the, with plastic windows mostly black, Poetry.

1. Take the inside dimension of the window frame with a folding rule and write it down on a piece of paper. For each side, add twice the depth of the window frame (usually around 1 cm).

2. Transfer the measurement to the fly screen.
3. Cut the fly screen to fit. If you are unsure whether you have measured correctly, you can first roughly cut the fly screen and then cut off the protruding edges after it has been attached. Since the grid can be easily removed, irregular areas can be cut off at any time.
4. Before sticking the masking tape on, you should thoroughly clean the inside of the window frame with a spirit cleaner. The frame must be clean, dry and free of grease, otherwise the masking tape will not stick.
5. Now you can stick the masking tape on the inside of the window frame.

A good quality masking tape pays off in this case, because a cheap fly screen can come off by itself in strong winds.
