Make your own mix of spices for grilled meat

Everyone has probably tried it before. We are talking about grilled meat that is already marinated. Most of the time, each of these types of meat are the same marinades that are used. The taste also leaves a lot to be desired here. Everyone would like to do without it and would rather make a spice mixture themselves.

Of course, it is not that easy to make a mixture of herbs and spices grilling also on that meat sticks. Therefore, a bond should always be created that guarantees this. The following combination was therefore chosen so that the meat is already in the spice mixture a day in advance and this remains on the meat when grilling.

A homemade spice mix for grilled meat tastes good 

You can use any of the listed spices as a powder. Only the black pepper should be ground or come out of the pepper mill so that it can better give off its unique aroma. Have a bowl ready to seal. You should also have a container ready for the remaining spice mixture. The amount of the spice mixture is sufficient for about 10 steaks.

  1. Put all the ingredients except the ketchup and oil in a bowl. Mix all the ingredients together well. Take your time for this, because the better these are mixed, the more intense the taste will develop later.
  2. When you have mixed everything well, add the oil and stir everything again very intensively.
  3. Now add so much ketchup that a homogeneous paste is created, which, however, must not be liquid.

  5. Spread this paste on your steaks and put them in a container with a lid. Put this in the refrigerator for 24 hours. You need to take the steaks out of the fridge about 1 hour before you grill.

If you want to use this spice mixture for poultry, simply add 10g of curry powder during preparation.
