  3. Replacing batteries: The battery compartment is now visible. Remove the old batteries and insert two new AA batteries (1.5 volts). Make sure the batteries are aligned correctly. You can recognize this by the minus and plus signs in the battery compartment.
  4. Attach the housing: Slide the top shell back over the interior. The Tiptoi® pen is closed correctly when the housing noticeably clicks into place.
