Ingredients:

  • 1 bottle of champagne or sparkling wine (e.g. b. a good Riesling sparkling wine)
  • 1 organic lemon
  • 150g sugar
  • 150ml water

Preparation:

  1. First, boil the sugar with the water, stirring constantly. Let it simmer until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  2. Allow the sugar-water mixture to cool thoroughly.
  3. Wash the lemon thoroughly.
  4. Grate the lemon peel and add the lemon zest to the sugar-water mixture.
