RTL+ for free: this is how you get the free package
Is there a new streaming service for film and series fans? No, there is only a new name. TV Now was released on April 4th. Renamed to RTL+ on November 2021. Streaming services offer the opportunity to watch your favorite program when you want it. Out of up to 7.01 million viewers per month, 2.4 million users are willing to pay for the RTL+ service. But the service can also be used for free.
What does RTL+ offer?
RTL+ is RTL Germany's streaming service and offers more than 55,000 hours of shows and real life, sports, documentaries and information as well as children's programs and much more.
The RTL+ offer is a mix of streaming service and live TV. Some TV content is available on RTL+ before it is released in the TV run. With a paid subscription you have access to all 14 channels of the RTL Group. These include Vox, NTV, GEO Television, RTL two, etc.
Use RTL+ for free – is that possible?
RTL+ can be used free of charge. However, not all content is available in the free version. The free version of RTL+ does not offer HD transmission. Live streams of the current TV program are not available and videos can only be played in low SD quality.
The basic version of the streaming service is a media library for the broadcasters of the RTL Group. Programs that were previously broadcast on live television can be viewed free of charge up to 7 days after the broadcast via the Internet be streamed. So you won't miss an episode of your favorite show. The program contains series, shows, news, magazines and documentaries.
The free version has regular commercial breaks. Another limitation concerns the RTL+ app for Android. The free subscription can only be used in the web browser.

Registration is required
RTL+ has three different offers to choose from: the free package and two paid premium packages. If you want to use the streaming service, you need a accounts create and log in. When registering, choose between “FREE” and “PREMIUM”.
With a trial subscription, you can use the entire RTL+ offer for 30 days. You will not incur any costs during this time. If the trial subscription is not cancelled, it will be converted into a paid subscription. The test month can only be used once per account. A subscription is automatically extended by another month without cancellation. The notice period is 30 days.

In the premium package there is only one commercial before the start of the show. In addition, exclusive content is available to you. This includes RTL+ Originals. With Premium Duo you can stream on two different devices at the same time.
