• The siphon is screwed on two screw threads upwards and downwards towards the drain.
• Place an empty bucket under the siphon on the sink so that you can catch the waste water in the U-tube.

1. It is best to apply large-caliber water pump pliers to the upper screw connection and, from your point of view, turn it to the right. Loosen the twist lock completely.
2. Use the pliers to open the lower screw cap.
3. Now pull the U-tube completely out and empty its contents into the bucket.
4. You can try to clean the siphon by loosening the dirt in it with a screwdriver or another pointed object and removing it under a tap. However, it is more hygienic if you replace the siphon with a new one. You can buy it at the hardware store.
5. Make sure that the downstream drain pipe is also free of dirt and clean it.
6. For installation, screw the screw connections back together.
7. Make sure that you have inserted the rubber sealing rings into the screw connections.
8. Before using the device, check the screw connections for leaks by turning on the tap.
