VIDEO: Design your own birthday card
Congratulations and kind words to the date of birth to convey is something beautiful and shows affection and sympathy. Especially in our fast moving times Letters and postcards have become rather rare. You get a lot more from a nice birthday card than from a quick text message. The best thing to do is to design an individual and therefore unique greeting card!
- In the stationery shop you can get pre-cut colored ones cards. They are available in different formats and sizes so you will find the right birthday card to match. However, if you want to send a card in the shape of a heart, for example, you can get construction paper and cut out a large heart. There are no limits to your creativity. The only thing to keep in mind is that you need to find a suitable size envelope for your card.
- On the back of the birthday card you can write your congratulations or your text, the front can be designed according to your own ideas. A nice thing is a photo of the person whose birthday it is. Maybe even one that shows the two of you together. Or how about a child's picture of the birthday child? Of course, if you don't belong directly to the family, that's not always easy to come by. But asking inconspicuously some time beforehand is definitely not noticeable. Most of them are quite open when it comes to pictures of children and babies. Otherwise, use an up-to-date, pretty photo of the birthday child and glue it to the front of the card. Important: When buying the birthday card, make sure that it is slightly larger than the photo, so that there is some frame left on the sides.
- If you are unable to find a photo of yourself and the birthday child, you can design the card in other ways. To do this, you will need old magazines, scissors and a little imagination. Think about what you want the birthday child to have, or perhaps what he or she has wished for for his or her birthday. You then cut out things from the old magazines that you know the birthday person would want. This could be a sports car, for example, or jewels, high heels, handbags, flowers... Leaf through the magazines, you will surely find a lot on the first few pages that you could "give" the birthday child. You can then refer to it in your congratulatory text with a wink.
