Train your self-confidence every day!

What you need:

  • Time
  • courage
  • the will to change something

Develop a good self-image

  • First of all, write down all of your positive qualities on a piece of paper. On another piece of paper, write down what you have already achieved in life and what you are particularly proud of. You will be amazed at how many positive things you can think of.
  • Hang the pieces of paper so that they are clearly visible, for example above your desk, so that you can keep in mind how many positive traits and achievements are yours! How to strengthen your self-consciousness.
  • A well-known trick, but it works: to build your self-esteem, every morning you should name one or more things that you like about yourself. Say to yourself loudly and clearly what you like about yourself, even if it may seem a little silly to you at first. Look for a new good quality or an appearance in yourself every day that you can tell yourself. In time you will internalize your good qualities. That is, your subconscious also begins to believe in your many good qualities.
  • What helps in the morning also works in the evening: To strengthen your self-confidence, you should tell yourself every evening what you did well that day and what achievements you can be proud of!

Train your self-confident demeanor

  • Stand in front of a mirror and train your posture. Make sure you always stand straight and upright! Do not hunch your head or shoulders and look ahead, not at the floor! Always look your counterpart in the eye! Your posture reflects your outward self-confidence. So it is important that you work on it. When you appear confident, it also affects your actual self-esteem, as the people around you approach you very differently.
  • Become self-confident without words - this is how it works with body language

Do you get nervous easily when dealing with strangers? Maybe you ask ...

  • Train yourself to behave differently in situations in which you have always been petty! For example, work on keeping pauses in conversation!
  • Learn to say no without justifying it. Only apologize for things that really need apologizing.
  • Try again and again and don't let setbacks depress you! Strengthening self-confidence takes time and acting confidently does not succeed overnight. It is important that you keep practicing jumping over your shadow in certain situations.
  • Start small. If someone jostles their way to the bakery, you no longer simply accept it, but correct them. If you are treated rudely in a store, give your opinion to the salesperson. If you don't have time to do something for others or take action, don't apologize! You can't please everyone. But you should try to please yourself!
  • Do not only practice appearing self-confidently in the small, everyday situations, but also jump over your shadow in other situations!
  • Think of something that you are afraid of or that you haven't dared to do before and just do it! This could be, for example: performing in a karaoke bar, giving a lecture in front of many people or catching up on your high school diploma.
  • When you overcome your fears, you will see that the thing you are afraid of is not at all as difficult as you assumed it to be.
  • Always consciously jump over your shadow and do what you do not trust yourself to do. It doesn't have to be perfect. The main thing is that you dare.
  • Anything new you dare can then write on the list that collects the things you are proud of. You will see: the list will keep getting longer and your self-confidence will get stronger and stronger!
