Women are known to often try new hairstyles, which includes curls, among others. Regardless of whether you use a curling iron or curlers - unfortunately, without sufficient fixation, the hairstyle often does not last as long as desired. Usually hairspray is then put into the hair, but you will not get the perfect hairstyle with this method either. "Mousse" is the magic word here. Always wanted to know how to properly use this for a curly hairstyle?

What you need:

  • Hair curlers
  • mousse
  • comb
  • possibly hair clips
  • possibly hair dryer

Curls are always a special eye-catcher - small corkscrew curls or large, lively splendor. It is well known that those who have the choice are spoiled for choice. There are hair curlers in a wide variety of sizes and designs. If you don't want to damage your hair so much and don't want to reach for the hot iron every few hours, you can use a so-called "mousse". As the name of the product suggests, this is a foam that is used to consolidate the styling throughout the day. But how do you use this remedy correctly?

Mousse gives your hair the right hold

  1. You can also use the foam on dry hair, but the effect is strengthened and supported on damp hair. So wash your hair first - either do a full wash of shampoo or you do that hair just wet with water.
  2. Now wrap your hair in a towel and let it dry a little.
  3. After unpacking, comb everything thoroughly so that there are no more knots. Don't forget the under hair.
  4. You now take the mousse and spray a ball about the size of a table tennis ball onto the comb. Now distribute this on your head. If the foam is not enough, you can still add a little more.
  5. Overnight curls - how to use curlers properly

If you have straight hair and still want to show off beautiful curls, you should do it with ...

  6. You will need one of the curlers in the next step. Grab a section of your hair and roll the tip around the curler from below.
  7. Now roll this to the end of the strand and, if necessary, secure it with a hair clip or a clamp. You perform this process all over your head. A certain arrangement of the roles is not necessary, which is important: There must be no strands at the end there will be more left, otherwise you will have unstyled hair between all the curls later and that will look very weird the end.
  8. If you want, you can start with blow-drying now, otherwise air drying is the healthier alternative.
  9. Once the hair is completely dry, remove any curlers - you have long lasting curls. If necessary, a spray can now be used. Apply this to the curls at a distance of around 30 centimeters - done.

General information on artificial curls

  • The following applies: the thinner the curlers, the smaller the curls will be.
  • The shorter the hair, the more it will be shortened by the curls.
  • Also keep this in mind when choosing your curlers. Anyone who uses thin curlers or papillots for shoulder-length hair must expect that the hairstyle will not look as desired.
