Create colorful wool in Minecraft

The usual way to make colored wool is to get white or black wool from sheep and dye it with different dyes. This is how you always get colorful wool. There is a different way to produce colored wool using the ID:

  • In Classic mode there were 16 different wool blocks in different colors, each with their own ID. In this mode you can create colored wool with the command / give.
  • On some servers the command is / give (name) (IDNUMMER = 35 color = "..") (number). The numbers for the color must be in quotes.
  • On other servers the command / item ID of the wool is: COLOR NUMBER NUMBER, i.e. / item 35: 6 64. 35 is the ID of the wool, 6 stands for the color pink and 64 is the number, so you get 64 blocks of wool in pink. If this combination doesn't work for your server, try / item 35 64 6. Apparently this combination is crowned with success with some servers, as ID wool, number and then the color.

If you can believe the users, the most common way of making wool is the command / item ID of the wool: COLOR NUMBER NUMBER so / item 35: 6 64.
