Have you ever moved and then found that you cannot find space for your washing machine in your new apartment? The usual dimensions are 85 x 60 x 60 cm (h x w x d). For small bathrooms there are machines with smaller dimensions.

- Her Washing machine does not fit anywhere? Sell your old one and treat yourself to a new one with suitable dimensions.
- Measure your bath and watch out for free corners in which you could place a machine. Ideally, there is a power outlet nearby.
- A top loader often fits into small bathrooms. Top loaders usually have the dimensions 90 x 40 x 60 cm (h x w x d). Since the lid opens upwards, you need some free space at the top. With a top loader, you also have the usual capacity of a washing machine (approx. 6kg) available.
- If there is no space for a top loader, then maybe a compact washing machine. It is basically a normal front-loading machine with a shallower depth. The dimensions are usually 85 cm (h) x 60 cm (w) x 44 cm (d). The filling quantity is usually a little less than normal.
- If you don't have space for a compact washing machine either, the mini washing machine could be your salvation. The dimensions are 65 (h) x 45 (br) x 41 (d). It is a front loader and also fits next to the bathroom door or under the sink. However, you can only use approx. Wash 1.5 kg of laundry per wash cycle.

What to consider when buying a washing machine
- Compare the water and energy consumption of the washing machines you are shortlisting.
- Washing machines with a high spin capacity are preferred, as the laundry then dries faster.
- Do you value additional functions? Should your washing machine have a timer so that the laundry is ready when you get home from work? Would you like a machine with an integrated dryer?
