Lots of hotels, lots of services. You can find out which ones are of interest to you and how to use them here.
- In general, pay attention to the hotel's homepage, here you will almost always find an overview of the services offered. You will not experience any nasty surprises. When traveling on business in particular, it often makes sense to use the telephone wake-up service. This service is almost always free and all you have to do is call reception or let the staff know when you check in.
- Many hidden services are simply included free of charge: Be it the boiling water in the room, the Towels in the bathroom or leaving towels and cleaning them during your stay in the Hotel. Other services depend on the quality (the "stars") of the hotel and are partly available for a fee, partly free of charge.
- In upscale hotels, internet in the room (wireless), the use of fax and telephone as well as a large selection of TV & Pay TV channels are usually available. A hotel safe is also often available free of charge, which is particularly useful for expensive jewelry and a lot of cash.
- On the other hand, it is chargeable and usually only available in upscale hotels (from 4 stars and above) Have your clothes cleaned, the food in the room or in the restaurant and also city tours and Driving services.

What you should consider when using the services
- First things first: Remember that these regulations are only mandatory for Germany. Inquire with your hotel beforehand which services are offered and whether these are chargeable or free.
- If something is not provided to your satisfaction or the descriptions and promises are not you should contact the reception immediately and, above all, carefully identify the defect document. Only then will you have the opportunity to be reimbursed part of the price paid.
