Search for members on eBay
If you have already bought something from an Ebay member or if you would like to get in touch with a question, you can search for the members. This is useful if the purchase was a little longer ago and is no longer stored in "My Ebay".
If you have recently made a purchase from an Ebay member, you can check the history of your account, the name of the member and, after clicking on the member name, the review profile or the current offers inform. If you have already deleted the purchases and cannot find what you are looking for in the review profile, you can search for Ebay members using the search function. However, you must use the member name or the e-mail Know address.
Here's how you can search for Ebay members
- Open the home page of Ebay. Then click on the menu item "Advanced Search". You can find this next to the "Find" button, which you can use to search for items and offers.
- A new window is opening up. On the right side you will see the button "Find Members". Click the button and the search window for searching for members will open.
- Now enter the name of the member or his e-mail address a. Then you have to enter a combination of numbers as verification. This serves to avoid spam. All found members will then be displayed to you.
If the search function doesn't help
- Check your e-mail inbox or the eBay message box to see whether there are any e-mails from the Ebay member you are looking for.
- Look in specific listing sections that you know the member has posted. Some members change their name or email address for certain reasons. Perhaps you will find it this way.

Use the search only if you want to buy something from the Ebay member. The search is not intended to spy on friends or acquaintances or to contact members in order to initiate purchases outside of Ebay with them. If Ebay learns of such activities or if they are reported, you have to expect a ban.
