Therefore, with a little manual skill, you can also assemble your toilet yourself. It's not that difficult at all, only with the cistern you have to do some small work. These instructions apply to a hanging toilet with a wall-mounted cistern.

How to assemble a toilet with a cistern

In order to be able to install your new toilet, you need an inlet and a drain pipe in the wall that sit one below the other. You also need two holes on both sides in which the threaded rods are attached. Once this is done, you have to see whether the pipe sections included with the toilet fit.

1. If the pipe sections don't fit, you'll need to cut them to size. Then you will be pushed into the wall exits. If the pipe sections are seated, the toilet is hung on the two threaded rods and it is ensured that the toilet is inserted into the pipe sections.

2. If the toilet is seated correctly, the washers for the nuts are placed over the threaded rods. Then the corresponding nuts are also turned over it. The nuts are now tightened with an open-end wrench so that the toilet can no longer wobble or move.
3. When the toilet is fully assembled, you can turn to the cistern. If the control box is in the wall hole for the cistern, the lever bolts are inserted into the devices on the left and right. They should be pushed into the cistern until they are stuck.

4. When that is done, put the rear part of the cistern on and screw it tight with the two screws. Before you finally attach the button cover of the cistern, you should test whether the flush works by pressing the pusher bolts. Only then can you attach the flush plate to the cistern.
5. At the end, test the buttons for their function and make sure that the water switches off again as desired, or lets stop. If everything works, you should seal the toilet with a special bathroom silicone by taping the gaps on the wall around the toilet. With a finger moistened with water, you can model the silicone a little while it is still wet.

So you can easily assemble your own toilet with the cistern and put it into operation without having to invest additional money. Of course, it also depends on whether you are installing a normal toilet or a hanging toilet and whether you also have to set and lay the holes and pipes yourself.
