  3. Cut out. Cut out the pieces from the paper.
  4. Place parts on fabric. Some parts have to be cut in the fabric break. That's why you lay the fabric twice. Arrange the parts in such a way that they are sufficiently spaced from one another, but that little waste remains.

Sew the top

Use the cut pieces to make a chic blouse according to the following sewing instructions.

  1. Sew the collar. sew You the collar, turn it over and sew it onto the bridge.
  2. Sew cuffs. If there are any, sew and turn the cuffs.
  3. Sew a buttonhole placket. Fold over the button and buttonhole strips on both front pieces and sew them on.
  4. Sew waist darts. To accentuate the waist, sew darts on the front and back pieces according to the pattern. For some blouse cuts you put an elastic band in the back.
  5. Sew the front and back pieces together. Sew the front and back pieces together at the shoulder seam. First, sew them together with a lockstitch and overcast the edges with a zigzag stitch. (Anyone who has an Overlook machine cleans up with this.)
  6. Sew on the bridge. Now comes the hardest part: the bar with the collar has to be sewn on neatly. Place the bridge open right sides together on the top edge of the blouse and sew it in place.
  7. Sew the lower collar seam. Pull the web over the edge and fold in the edge. Sew the lower collar seam.
  8. Sew in sleeves. Sew the sleeves open right sides together to the blouse and overcast the seam.
  9. Close the side seam. Close the side seam. Now the blouse looks like a blouse.

Finish the blouse

  1. Sew on cuffs. Sew the cuffs onto the sleeves. The procedure is the same as with the collar: First sew open right sides together, turn inside out, fold in the edge and close the lower cuff seam.
  2. Sew the bottom hem. Fold in the hem and stitch it off.
  3. Sew buttonholes. Anyone who has a buttonhole program on their sewing machine uses this. Without a buttonhole program, you sew the holes by hand.
  4. Cut buttonholes. Cut in the collar buttonhole and the cufflink holes horizontally, the remaining ones vertically. Overcast the edge with small, fine stitches.
  5. Mark the button markings. When all holes are in the blouse, place them "closed" on the table. The buttonhole placket lies straight on the button placket. Mark the markings for the buttons through the holes.
  6. Sew on buttons. Sew on the buttons. These hold best if you poke through each hole twice.

The tailor-made blouse is ready. Before presenting them, iron them flat.
