The dressage task E7 / 1 is not ridden in the department, but only individually. With a square size of 20 x 40 m, this task takes approx. 3.5 minutes. A series of simple dressage lessons is ridden one after the other.

Dressage exercise E7 / 1 - these lessons are queried

  1. In order to complete the dressage test E7 / 1, you first ride into the track. This should be done from points A to X on the path.
  2. At the path point X is then stopped and greeted in the direction of the judges. After the greeting you trot at work pace and ride straight ahead to point C.
  3. Arrived at point C, trot lightly on the left to point F.
  4. At point F, you turn away and ride over X to H. This lesson is called "going all the way around".
  5. If you follow this line you will get to the middle of the shorter side next, that point is again C. From here on the trot is sat.

  7. Now ride along the long side of the track. In the middle (at B) ride on the middle circle and stay there for one lap.
  8. Then you switch through the middle circle, i.e. turn away halfway through the circle, ride through the circle to ride on at the other end in the other direction.
  9. After the change of direction, from track point E, the task "Ridden whole track" follows up to point A.
  10. From A on, a circle is ridden again, which is completed in 1.5 laps and then gallops towards the closed side of the circle. Working pace and canter on the right hand are expected. So gallop again for 1.5 laps.
  11. At the level of the middle of the shorter side, the trot is parried through, which is to be kept on the outer hoof beat up to C.
  12. Now the middle step follows, which is ridden through the whole path (this time from H to X to F).
  13. At F the trot is now back to work pace in order to switch back to the circle directly at A. The circle is ridden again with 1.5 laps in order to gallop towards the closed circle side from point X for half a lap.
  14. Half of the gallop is ridden at a gallop "whole track" up to point C.
  15. Arrived at point C, the working trot is parried through. The trot then changes halfway through the path. This takes place at point M, from which one rides in a straight line to E.

Dress code for dressage tasks E7 / 1 - an overview

  • At most tournaments, it is desirable that participants wear white breeches and white gloves.
  • In addition, it is often assumed that a dark gray, dark blue or black jacket is worn.
  • A riding cap should - if possible - be chosen in the right color.
  • Most of the tournament riders wear leather riding boots. But also ankle boots and chaps approved for tournament sport may be worn. For toddlers and recreational tournaments, it is also okay to wear rubber riding boots.
  • Ladies who have long hair should pull it back into a bun and pull it if necessary. secure with a bow and a small hair net.
