Alternative low-carb supplements for your diet

Cauliflower puree as a low-carb side dish

  5. Strain the cauliflower and transfer it to a large bowl. To make the puree creamier later, you can also save some of the boiling water and use it to dilute the mash.
  6. Now puree this with a hand blender and add salt, pepper and a little nutmeg to taste. Now give another cup milk and add some butter.

Side dish puree made from celery

  1. Cut the celery into small pieces and toss them into a pot of boiling salted water. Just like cauliflower, celery is also starch-free and suitable for the low-carb diet.
  2. Cook the celery for approx. 20 minutes and then pour off the water. Lift approx. half a cup of the water.
  3. Now puree the celery and add a little of the cooking water to the porridge, depending on the desired consistency.
  4. Also season the porridge with salt, pepper and nutmeg and a piece of butter. Of course, you can also add a little milk.
