XY makes you happy!?

You want something. If you did, you would be sure to be happy. Wait a minute - why wait for it? Wouldn't it be nicer just to be able to feel happiness like that?

  • Those who make their happiness dependent on the outside will never be truly happy. For the Eastern teachings and philosophies, actual happiness is independent of the world out there. It can only be experienced internally, whereby an active detachment from expectations and desires constitutes its experience.
  • You have no control over the outside world. Your inner world, on the other hand, is 100% controllable by you. It is also about your personal happiness. Because if you don't make yourself dependent on the outside world, you can always be happy - just like that.
  • This condition is also known as gratuitous happiness. For Buddhism it is an irreplaceable ideal accessible only to the humble. Desires and expectations make you unhappy.
  • The "gratuitous happiness" of the modest is not entirely without reason either. Enter the path of humility, just see more that can be cause for joy.

"Unfounded Happiness" in Buddhism

The aim of almost every philosophy is to make world beauty tangible for the trailer.

  • In Buddhism and the philosophies related to it, this happens not least through the principle of humility. Namely, those who perceive normality as the greatest beauty and the peculiarities of an ordinary Moments can recognize that, according to Eastern philosophies, reaches a kind of heavenly state - on Earth!
  • Accordingly, the path to personal heaven on earth can only be paved through humility, because only the humble will recognize the beauty of the world and life in a drop of water can. For everyone else, the drop remains everyday normality.
  • Ordinary is something unusual - as the saying goes. The humble person who can see this is not only liberated and happy. It becomes an asset to the world. His actions are purely positive because he will never succumb to negative affects again.

This in turn has an impact on Buddhist karma.

Good karma through humility

The karma teaching takes on a superordinate role in Buddhism.

  • The primary goal of the teaching is a karma balance. The moment in which the karma cycle ends is the moment of fulfillment and thus of the highest ideal.
  • According to Buddhism, negative karma arises primarily from three attributes: attachment, anger and ignorance. Through the principle of humility, negative karma can accordingly be prevented, because the tendency to anger and clinging is corrected.
  • Clinging here means the dependence on happiness and the outside world. Anger is a negative effect that does not exist for one who modestly sees world beauty. Humility, kindness and insight are the way to positive karma and ultimately even to the reconciliation of the karma cycle.
  • Kindness and discernment, in turn, arise automatically from humility, for the actions of the truly humble person are always benevolent. The world perception of the truly modest, on the other hand, is automatically shaped by insight.

Does that sound too easy? Yes it is too! Always stay humble!
