If you want to have big curls, the easiest way to do this is with curlers. Large curlers give particularly long hair great volume and beautifully falling curls. This article explains which curlers are suitable and how best to use them.

A hairstyle with curls really works for all hair lengths and always looks pretty. Whether cheeky or elegantly styled, particularly large curls frame it face always perfect. With curlers, even if you have straight hair, the dream of a curly mane will come true for you.

Which curlers are suitable? - suggestions

  • Basically, you should use self-adhesive hair curlers. These curlers have a special surface that stays in the hair like a Velcro fastener. This saves you from pricking needles or tight rubber bands.
  • Large curlers come in different sizes. Basically, the longer the hair are, the larger the curlers can be.
  • The right curlers depend on the length of the hair. You want to achieve the largest possible curls, that is, you should bring a certain length of hair with you. But large curls are also possible with half-length hair. Here, however, you should not use the curlers that are too large, because then you will only achieve volume, but not curls.

Twist and style curls - this is how it works

  1. Once you've selected the right size curlers, you're good to go. First wash your hair.
  2. Wavy straight hair - this is how it works

It is often bewitched: people with curly hair want straight hair and vice versa ...

  3. A little hair setting agent is worked into towel-dried hair. It does not matter whether you want to use liquid setting or mousse.
  4. Dry the hair with a blow dryer until it is almost completely dry.
  5. The dry hair is now untwisted. To do this, separate individual strands with a handle comb and wind this strand by strand onto the large curlers.
  6. When all of your hair is twisted on curlers, tie a hair net, if available, and dry your hair, ideally under a dryer hood.
  7. If you don't have a hood dryer, you can also let your hair dry with a hairdryer or in the air. This then takes longer.
  8. When the hair is dry, carefully unscrew the curlers and let the hair cool down, provided you are still warm from the hood or blow dryer. Then carefully comb apart with your fingers and style as desired.

Please note that you should not use a brush, especially with large curls. Otherwise you will immediately comb out the curls again. Carefully plucking apart with your fingers and spraying with hair lacquer should be enough.
