Dimension the curtain generously. Ideally, it hits the floor and lies close to the door frame. If you make the door curtain too tight, cold air can still enter. If you use a split curtain, it must overlap in the middle by at least 10 cm. In that case, you should fix door curtains on the sides of the door frame.
Choose dense and heavy material for the door curtain so that it cannot fly up when the door is opened. Also, thin material would not automatically take its place again when someone walks through the curtain.
