How to build the wooden suspension yourself

  1. Saw two square timbers of 1 m length and glue both together with wood glue at a right angle. Then screw the timbers together with long screws.
  2. Attach a metal bracket to the ends of the square timbers in the manner that an angle leg is screwed onto the wood and the other leg is straight up and flush with the edge of the wood. The support legs of the punching bag stand are now ready.
  3. Build a right-angled boom from two square timbers that are 2 m and 50 cm long by connecting them with screws. Reinforce the inner and outer angles with a metal elbow.
  4. Use long screws to screw the gallows onto the angle of the support legs. Make sure that the upper part of the boom forms a bisector to the support legs.
  5. Paint the punching bag stand holder with clear or colored paint.
  6. Attach a hook to hang the punching bag on the gallows.

Construction of weights to add weight to the punching bag stand

  1. Using a knife, cut a slot in the wall of two small plastic buckets at the height of the vertical angle leg on the leg supports.
  2. Insert the leg of a metal bracket into the slot. The other leg must point vertically downwards. The distance between the angle leg and the bucket wall should be at least 5 cm.
  3. Mix the precast concrete and water in a keg and pour it into the plastic buckets. When pouring in, make sure that the angles remain level.
  4. Let the concrete dry out well. The weights for the punching bag stand are now ready and can be attached to the leg supports with wing screws.
  5. Now you can hang up the punching bag on the hook of the punching bag stand and exercise.
