Use a plaster with a protective film. You should never remove these before cutting, so that the mulch layer stays as clean as possible.
- Hold the patch between your fingers so that it tightens lengthways.
- Now carefully cut a small triangle out of the plaster on both long sides up to the mulch layer. If the wound is right on the fingertip, cut the triangles out exactly in the middle. The cutting creates four "wings" and your fingertip plaster is ready for use.
Tip: the smaller the wound, the deeper the triangles can be cut. The larger the cutouts, the larger the tabs. This improves adhesion.

Cleverly put on fingertip plasters
Attaching the cut bandage requires a bit of skill, especially since you inevitably have to work with one hand.
- Place the patch so that the gauze pad completely covers the wound on the fingertip. Then peel off one of the two protective films.
- You fix the exposed adhesive surface on the upper side of the finger, fold the two "wings" backwards around the finger and press them firmly on the lower side of the finger.
- Peel off the second protective film and fold the plaster back over your fingertip as tightly as possible. The adhesive surface now covers the underside of the finger. The two tabs are then placed forward over the top of the finger and pressed into place.
Once you have chosen the correct size of the patch, placed it correctly and pressed it firmly, it will now encircle the entire fingertip. The wound does not come into contact with the adhesive surfaces.
