Deutsche Post's promise of an appointment

• Deutsche Post transports letters and parcels quickly and reliably throughout Germany. As a customer, you can normally also rely on a letter to be at its destination within two days.
• However, if it has to be faster and you want delivery on the next working day, Swiss Post offers the option of express delivery. You can even determine the delivery time window yourself.
• Instead of a flat-rate delivery sometime on the next working day, you can choose between three additional time windows. The letter will then arrive either by 12 noon, 10 a.m. or even 9 a.m. at the latest. Appointments are met in any case.
• As the sender, the express letter will of course cost you more than a standard delivery by Deutsche Post. In addition to the time window, the weight of the letter also plays a role.

What does the express letter cost?

• If the letter you have filled weighs a maximum of 50 grams and you do not specify an exact time frame, express delivery costs 9.90 euros. Please note, however, that in this case Deutsche Post guarantees delivery on the following working day, but the letter can also only arrive there in the evening.


Sending an express letter - this is how it works

Do you need to send something that should reach the recipient particularly quickly? To use …

• If you do not have a time limit when sending, a letter of up to one kilo costs 11.60 euros. If you reach up to 2 kilograms, the price increases to 13.90 euros.
• If you choose delivery by 12 noon, the 50-gram letter costs EUR 14.80. For one kilo and two kilos, 16.80 euros and 18.80 euros respectively are due.
• Programs by 10 a.m. at the latest cost 22.80 euros, 24.80 euros and 26.80 euros in this scale. If you choose the earliest possible time and insist on delivery by 9 a.m., you have to pay EUR 34.40, EUR 36.40 or EUR 38.40.
