Ikea Media Markt payment card
If you have set up your red Ikea Family Card as a payment card, you can also use it to pay for your purchases at Media Markt. Every Media Markt accepts the card throughout Germany.
The Ikea Family Card primarily grants you discounts in all German Ikea furniture stores as well as free transport insurance. If you have an appropriate credit rating, you can provide the card with a payment function. If you wish, you will be granted a credit line that you can repay flexibly, or you can use the card on a credit basis in which you can make regular deposits.
More usage options with the Ikea payment card
For some time now, you have been able to use the Ikea payment card not only in Ikea furniture stores and at Swedish fashion chain H&M for payment, but also at the petrol station chain JET and in the media Market. This is easy and straightforward.
- Your Ikea payment card is accepted in every German Media Markt. Make a purchase and present the Ikea payment card at the checkout. It is inserted into the card reader and you pay with your signature. A PIN is not necessary.
- If your card is about to be declined at the checkout, be persistent. Ask the cashier to inquire or simply try the payment. Your Ikea payment card must be accepted, as this was agreed between Ikanobank and the media markets.
Successfully pay for the purchase in the Media Markt
- Make sure that you have enough credit on your Ikea payment card. Otherwise the goods cannot be paid for with the card, as the card is checked at the Media Markt checkout.
- Although you do not have to enter a PIN, you will be asked to contact Ikano Bank. If your card is blocked due to exhausted credit or for other reasons, you will not be able to pay for the purchase. Your card would be declined at checkout.
