Block ads on the internet
It can be quite annoying when you are in Internet You have to deal with an interesting topic or research information for something important and you are constantly being harassed by advertisements. This usually opens in pop-ups or similar forms of presentation. However, you can block them with a little effort on your part and avoid the disturbance as far as possible in the future. There are a few options for the different Internet browsers.
- If you are using Mozilla's Firefox, it would appear Install and use the Adblock Plus add-on To be the best method for blocking ads on the internet right now. You can also provide the browser extension with special filters that make the blocking of unwanted advertisements even more reliable.
- In Microsoft's browser, Internet Explorer, you should see the top bar with the browser window open click on the menu item "Extras", there select "Pop-up blocker" and then the "Pop-up blocker settings" enter. In the upper text field you can then specify websites that are to be released, i.e. excluded from blocking. At the bottom, the blocking level in the levels "High", "Medium" and "Low" can be set in order to determine the severity of the blocking of advertisements.
- The Opera browser is also equipped as standard with a function that can block advertisements. The pop-up blocker is also easy to configure here. When the browser window is open, press the Ctrl and F12 keys at the same time to access the relevant settings. In the tab with the title "General" you can now set your preferred handling of pop-ups in four different levels.
