VIDEO: Converting liters to cm3
Use the basic formula for the conversion
There are two different ways of converting liters into cm³. One is to use the basic conversion formula:
- One thousand liters make one cubic meter. Expressed in cm³ this would be 1,000,000 cm³. This calculation is based on the fact that a cubic meter consists of three sides, each one meter or Own 100 centimeters. If these are multiplied together, the result is 1,000,000 cm³.
- This results in the fact that one liter is 1000 cm³ (1,000,000 cm³ divided by 1000 liters).
- Use this formula if you want to convert liters to cm³. Example: If you have five liters, this would be 5000 cm³.
- All you have to do is multiply the number of liters available by 1000 cm³ to know how many cubic centimeters result in the number of liters available.

Convert liter to cm³ in an unusual way
If you do not want to use the above formula to convert liters to cm³, you can also use another variant:
- The liters you have must be filled in a container, for example in a tetrapack.
- Make sure that the liters to be converted are in a rectangular container.
- Now measure three sides of the vessel: you need to measure the width, depth and height of the vessel in centimeters.
- Now multiply all three Dimensions with each other to get the corresponding cc. Example: You have a vessel with the dimensions 10 cm, 12 cm and 20 cm. If you multiply these three measurements, you get 2400 cm³.
