Creating your own blog is a great way to share your thoughts with the world. You can post experiences, recipes, photos or poems - and other people can write their opinion through comments.

Blog system or blog hosting service - the choice is yours
- The following blog systems are recommended for installing on a rented web server and thus creating your own blog design: WordPress (the most popular provider), Textpattern, Movable Type (free for private individuals), Serendipity and ExpressionEngine. - Sign up with several different free blog hosting providers and test the features of each, then decide on one. How to create your own blog on WordPress
- Go to the website of WordPress on. If you are not yet logged in, click on "Get started" first.
- A new page opens with a registration form and you have to fill it out completely. First, give your e-mailAddress.
- Choose a username for your own blog. The name should consist of at least 4 characters and only contain lowercase letters and numbers. Your username will also appear on comments you leave on other blogs. For a good recognition value, it makes sense to choose the same username as your blog address. With this you are automatically "promoting" your blog.
- Enter your password and repeat it. Ideally, it should consist of a combination of upper and lower case letters. You can also use special characters and thus increase security considerably.
- Select the address for your blog, you can only use letters and numbers. If you opt for the free version, your future blog address will be "Adresse.wordpress.com". You can get a direct domain extension for an annual fee.
- To complete the registration, simply click on "Create blog" at the bottom.
- On the next page you can enter your first and last name and information about yourself.
- You will receive a confirmation link by email. As soon as you click on it, a page will open in your browser window that reports on the activation of your blog.
- At the top right, click on "Sign In". Note the bottom of the notes that appear in a pop-up window that draws your attention to the extensive documentation.
- Click Posts in the left menu, then click Hello World. This is your first article, which you can now modify as you wish. With "View Post" you can see the article in your own blog.
