- If you temper the water for the vase, make sure that the water is not too cold. Like most cut flowers, peonies also prefer lukewarm water; sunflowers, for example, should generally also be placed in warm water.
- Now add some of the strengthening flower water concentrate that you received from your florist to the water. If you don't have one, add about a teaspoon of sugar to the water. This keeps the flowers fresh longer.

- If you are planting peonies in the garden, you should choose a sunny spot where the peonies can stay for a long time, as they do not tolerate transplanting well.
- Ideally, the soil should consist of equal parts earth and clay. In spring you can use compost respectively. Fertilize horn shavings, then the flowers will soon open.
