Material for first graders - how to make the right choice

  • If you are putting together material for school, the following applies to school beginners: Inquire with your child's class teacher which exercise books, pens and other materials are required. In this way, you can put together the initial equipment in a targeted manner and avoid bad purchases.
  • Remember that your child must first learn how to use their school supplies properly. Therefore, make sure to create a system that makes it easier for your child to keep order. This can be different colored envelopes, for example.
  • You can make an important contribution to environmental protection with school supplies. You should therefore only buy exercise books and pens made from untreated materials that can be recycled.
  • Especially when starting school, it doesn't always have to be expensive branded products. Don't hesitate to grab a fully equipped pencil case.

  • The pencil case should contain colored pencils and at least two pencils. In addition, an eraser and a sharpener. Often, felt-tip pens, scissors, glue, drawing pads, and crayons are also on the list of materials needed for first graders. These things are usually for the Art lessons second hand.
  • It makes sense and is environmentally friendly to buy a lunch box and a drinking bottle so that your child is also equipped for the breaks.
