- Download the First Check test image from the above page. If you want to calibrate your HD projector, use the HD picture, otherwise use the SD pictures.
- Make sure there is the lighting situation that you use when you want to watch films. In any case, it shouldn't be too bright.
- Close your computer to the projector and display the test image as a full screen. Now it comes to the individual settings. The test image itself describes what you have to do.
- The test image offers 5 setting options. Once you've done this, you'll be able to see movies like you've never seen them before.
- Some projectors allow the so-called overscan / underscan to be set in the menu. Set it so that you can see the full black triangles that indicate the edge of the edge.
- Set the brightness setting of the projector to dark and remove any contrast from the image. Also set the color saturation to 0 so that the picture is no longer colored.
- For the brightness setting of your projector, take a look at steps A to F. Gradually increase the brightness on the projector. As soon as you can look at all six surfaces in a differentiated manner, the brightness is optimally set.
- Now increase the contrast step by step until you can see the areas G to L differentiated. A color cast must not be included.
- Take a close look at the skin tones of the two ladies and adjust the color of your projector so that you look natural.
- Finally, adjust the focus with the crosshairs. This should be clearly visible.
