Where do the ladybugs come from?

Also sucking up the ladybugs with the vacuum cleaner is not recommended because the insects become severely stressed.   • A ladybird plague can occur especially in autumn, when the beetles start looking for suitable winter quarters in droves. They are particularly attracted to bright or sunny areas, which is why you should protect the buildings with appropriate walls.
  • Protect your home adequately if it is threatened by a ladybug infestation. Close all holes and cracks in the plaster, on the exterior facade and on all doors and windows. It is advisable to attach insect screens to supply pipes and similar to prevent the ladybugs from entering. Spices that should be placed in the window area can also help. Camphor and vanilla are suitable alongside the above-mentioned lavender and bay leaves.

If you are already suffering from a ladybug infestation, don't panic. Although the ladybugs are extremely annoying, they do not transmit any diseases and do no other damage.
