  2. To remove thin layers of latex paint from the wall, you need to soak a rag in white spirit and rub it abundantly over a small section of the wall. Only alcohol can soften the waterproof latex paint.
  3. Wait 5 minutes and then rub the latex paint off the wall with the roughest possible brush. It takes some effort and a lot of time to get rid of an entire wall of this type of latex paint.
  4. Organic pickling agent from the hardware store dissolves latex paint even more effectively than alcohol. Since this agent is quite aggressive, you must wear gloves and respiratory protection and carefully follow the instructions on the package.
  5. Once you've softened the latex paint with the mordant, the best way to scrape it off the wall is with a spatula. Then dispose of the remnants of the paint and the pickling agent responsibly as hazardous waste.
