Your Ay-Yildiz card is blocked

If your Ay-Yildiz card is blocked, you need the PUK

• If you still have your PUK, you can easily unlock the card again and then have the option of choosing a new password that you can remember more easily.
• You can find your PUK on the packaging of your Ay-Yildiz card. Likewise your PIN number, if you have not changed it.

When you no longer have your PUK

• In a mobile phone shop, you can get a new PUK free of charge after presenting your ID card, provided that your Ay-Yildiz card was registered in your name at the time of purchase.
• If you have bought your card without registering, it is registered with a sample name.
• You can then have your sample card registered in your name after presenting your identity card. This usually costs around € 5 and it takes 1-2 days to process.

• Once processing is complete, you can have a new PUK given to you free of charge in the mobile phone shop. If you have forgotten your PIN number, you can re-dial it after entering your PUK.
• If that is too much of a hassle for you, you can also buy a new Ay-Yildiz card in the mobile phone shop and use it in your mobile phone. Remember that numbers that are stored on the old SIM card and not on the mobile phone will be lost. You will then also have a new mobile phone number that you must first give your friends again. If necessary, also institutions, e.g. if you use the smsTAN procedure for online banking.
• However, your old card will then remain blocked and you will not notice if friends call you on the old number or leave you messages.

If you have now successfully obtained a new PUK and activated your mobile phone, remember not to make the first mistake a second time. Keep your new PUK, e.g. B. in a file folder in which you can file all important documents. Then it is no problem to act if your card should be blocked again.
