MP3 to MIDI with the "WIDI" program

To convert your MP3 files directly into MIDI format, you can use the Converter "WIDI Recognition System Professional"which you can download in a free version. The freeware can only convert your MP3 file into MIDI format for 10 seconds, so you either have to buy the full version or shorten your MP3 file.

  1. First download the freeware using the blue button "Free Download" and then carry out the installation. All you have to do is start the EXE file and then click on "Next", "I Agree", "Next", "Install" and "Finish" one after the other.
  2. Then start the installed "WIDI Pro" program from your computer.
  3. Select the first option "" Transcribe Pre-recorded MP3... "in the start screen and click" Next ".

Use different converters

A free alternative would be that you first use your MP3 file for example Audacity convert to WAV format and then convert the WAV file to MIDI format with the "AmazingMIDI" converter.

  1. Once you have the music file in WAV format, download the freeware AmazingMIDI down. You can find the download link a little further down the website in the "Download" section.
  2. Then run the "azmidi170.exe" file and install the freeware.
  3. AmazingMIDI will then normally start automatically. If this is not the case, you still have to open the program manually.
  4. Then click to the right of "Input File" on the folder symbol and select the WAV file.
  5. The MIDI file is then automatically saved in the same folder. If you do not want this, click on the save button to the right of "Output File" and then specify your desired directory.
  6. Now click on "Transcribe" in the "Transcribe" menu to start the WAV to MIDI conversion, which should only take a few seconds.
