A slightly tanned complexion is attractive! The healthiest way to tan your skin is to use a tan cream. You can get this so-called "self-tanner" in every drugstore. A chemical reaction causes the top layer of skin to change color and look tanned. And all of this without harmful sun rays! However, the use of tanning cream can go wrong if it is used incorrectly and the skin appears blotchy and irregularly colored. Then only one thing helps: the artificial tan has to go! And as soon as possible!

You want to go on vacation, but with Milkweisser skin do not feel comfortable. That is understandable. Before you go on holiday, go to a drugstore, because there you can get tanning cream.

With tanning cream, pale winter skin gets color

  • Then apply the cream as evenly as possible to the skin. When applying, keep in mind that not all areas of the skin look natural when you are tanned. Pay particular attention to the soles of your feet and palms.
  • You should therefore remember to wash your palms thoroughly after application so that the self-tanner goes away. The best way to do this is to scrub with a nail brush.
  • You can also remove excess cream immediately with a cosmetic tissue.

The tan has to go again

The next morning, the result of your tanning session is rather sobering: Instead of one Even tan, your skin is mottled and your kneecaps and elbows are way too dark. Now the only thing that helps is the brutal removal of the artificial tan, because it has to be removed. But how do you gently remove the stains?

Spray on tan - this is how you apply self-tanning spray without leaving streaks

With the spray-on tan, even in winter you don't have to ...

  1. When removing, take advantage of the fact that it is only the top layer of skin that has been colored and take a bath to soften the skin.
  2. After you have spent a few minutes in the warm water, you can carefully work the skin with an exfoliating glove. Concentrate primarily on those areas of your skin where the tan has become too dark. This way, if you're a little lucky, you will get rid of the spots and streaks. However, don't scrub too hard so the skin doesn't get sore.
  3. Depending on how dark the spots were on your skin, you won't get rid of them the first time you try. Start another peeling action the next day.

The stains are gone within a few days.

This is how you prevent blotchy skin

  • So that it doesn't get that far in the first place, make sure that particularly keratinized areas of the skin, such as kneecaps or elbows, freed from dead skin cells before the application of tanning cream will. Apply a body scrub and peel heavily calloused areas of skin particularly thoroughly.
  • If you mix the self-tanner with a little body lotion before use, its effect is less intense, but the risk of spots forming on the skin is reduced.
  • Make sure that you apply the tanning cream really evenly. If in doubt, ask a friend for help with areas that are difficult to access, such as the back.
  • Self-tanners are available as cream, gel or milk. The more fluid the consistency, the easier it is to distribute evenly. Self-tanners are particularly convenient to spray on.
  • Do not get dressed immediately after applying the self-tanner, but wait until it has absorbed into the skin.

The skin discoloration caused by the application of tanning cream does not provide any protection from the sun. You have to keep this in mind if you go on vacation already tanned thanks to the self-tanner. Nevertheless, please apply a very high sun protection factor to avoid sunburn. Have a beautiful holiday!
