You can't get married right away in Skyrim

  4. In Skyrim you can marry, but not every woman. As soon as a person talks to you and mentions the amulet of Mara, marriage is generally possible. If you have found such a woman, you usually have to do a quest for the woman and thus prove yourself worthy.
  5. Once you've done that, you can finally get married and have a truly impressive wedding in Skyrim. If you are sure that you want to marry this woman, all you have to do is talk to the priest in the temple of Mara again. You can then find a house with your wife and move in together.
