You take advantage of Skype every day. You can call or chat with your friends for free and send videos and photos back and forth. Suddenly it no longer logs in and nothing works.

That's why Skype doesn't work

  • There is no connection between your computer and the Internet or she is too slow.
  • If you enter your password manually each time, a typo may have crept in.

So it logs in again

  1. Check the Internet connection of your computer and possibly also the connection speed with a suitable program, a speedometer. It should be at least 1000 KB / sec, otherwise there will be problems making calls.
  2. Make sure the password is correct and try again. You may need to save it afterwards if you are using the PC alone.
  3. Restart your computer and then Skype. If it still doesn't log in, there is probably a conflict in the system.
  4. Press your "Windows" key and "R" at the same time and write% appdata% \ skype in the line. Then locate the shared.xml file. If you cannot see it, it is hidden and must first be made visible via the folder option.
  5. Delete this file and restart your PC and Skype. If it still doesn't work, all that remains is a reinstallation. Uninstall it from the Control Panel under Programs and Features or Add or Remove Programs.
  6. Visit the Skype websites, download the latest version for your operating system and install it according to the instructions. After a restart, it will definitely log in again.

You don't need to worry about your details or your contact list. Everything is on the Skype servers and is imported again during the reinstallation.
