The Media Markt retail chain grants you a money-back guarantee when you buy goods, which you can claim regardless of the value of the goods. The type of utilization is defined by the respective market. It may therefore be that different conditions apply to the return.

In almost every major city there is a Media Markt that tempts you to buy with good offers that are intensively advertised. If you find at home that the item you purchased is not what you expected, you can take advantage of a money-back guarantee. This is also advertised intensively. In practice, however, you are not entitled to a cash return.

Media Markt grants a right of return on its goods

  • If you buy a product in a Media Markt, you can take advantage of a money-back guarantee. This is granted on all goods that you have only inspected and tried out in a way that would have been possible in a shop. Custom-made products are excluded from this guarantee. This applies to photos, for example. Are you with the quality of the pictures however not satisfied, you can still claim your money back.
  • The guarantee is valid within 14 days of purchase. You need the goods in the original packaging and the receipt. You are not obliged to make the return in the market in which you bought the product. It is still advisable, because this way you have a better chance of really getting your money back.

The money-back guarantee is sometimes limited

  • Media Markt starts special campaigns several times a year in which the money-back guarantee is limited in all branches. At the time of purchase, you will be advised that the items purchased are not covered by the guarantee.
  • Regardless of this, there are branches that do not restrict the right of return, but generally do not pay out cash, but issue you with a voucher. Although this is valid indefinitely, it forces you to spend the money again in one of the chain's markets. If you are looking to purchase an expensive device and have been disappointed with its performance, it can be very annoying.
