You cannot join the network at Hamachi
With Hamachi you create a virtual network, which certain people can then join. If this is not possible, the problem can be easily resolved.
In order to be able to join the Hamachi network, you need the authorization or the password for the network. You can obtain this from the owner of the network. However, if problems occur and you cannot join the network, you should check your network settings on your computer.
Join the Hamachi network
- To join Hamachi or create your own network, you need an account with LogMeIn. Click the "Sign In" or "Create an Account" page to create a new one Account to create.
- Then log into the account you just created. Then select "Networking" on the page. At "Add clients" select "Install LogMeIn Hamachi on this computer". Click "Next" to start the installation. To ensure that Hamachi works properly afterwards, do not cancel this process and follow the instructions of the installation wizard.
- After the process is complete, there is now an icon for Hamachi on your desktop. To be able to join the network now, click on it. In the login window, enter the name of the network and the associated password.
Cannot join
- If you cannot join the network, this is mostly due to the network settings of the computer. If necessary, these should be adjusted in order to be able to join Hamachi.
- Check in the "Administration", which you will find under "Control Panel", whether the two services "Network DDE service" and "Network DDE server service" are activated under "Services". If this is not the case, check the box next to active. You should then be able to join the Hamachi network.
- Occasionally, an outdated version of Hamachi can prevent you from joining the network. In this case, an update or a new installation of Hamachi is recommended.
