Sky Go: Authorization does not work

Sky is one of the best-known pay TV broadcasters in Germany and the successor to Premiere. You can take out various paid subscriptions and enjoy live sporting events such as football and Formula 1. As a customer of the provider, you can also use the Sky Go mobile app. the software does not incur any additional costs and allows you to stream it live over the Internet. The software works on Android and Apple-Smartphones, on tablet PCs and also runs on Windows. At Sky Go you have to log in with your user data. The data consists on the one hand of the customer number (you can find this in all letters from the provider) and a PIN (you determined this yourself). In some cases, however, the authorization does not work and you can no longer use the useful service. This can have various causes and you can gradually rule them out.

If the authorization does not work

• If the authorization for Sky Go does not work, you may not have created a user account or a PIN yet. In such a case, just visit the Online registration and create a new account with your customer number.
• If you have entered your customer number or your PIN incorrectly three times, the log-in to Sky Go will be blocked for security reasons. Authorization is only possible again when you remove the block. In the Online unlock all you have to do is follow the instructions and you can then assign a new PIN. In individual cases it can take 30 minutes or more before you can use the log-in again.
• If all the data is correct and the authorization still does not work, there may also be a software problem. If you use Sky Go on your smartphone or tablet PC, it is best to delete the app and then install the current version from the app store. In the WindowsVersion can also cause problems with Microsoft's Silverlight Player. It is best to completely uninstall the software and install the latest version on your computer.
