Received with DVB-T Eurosport
Compared to analog antenna television, you can expect a real variety of programs with DVB-T. However, Eurosport is only broadcast via DVB-T in a few regions of the country.
DVB-T is the successor to analogue terrestrial television that has since been discontinued. Unless you live in a big city, you can continue to use the large antennas on house walls and on roofs for improved reception.
Only in metropolitan areas: Eurosport via DVB-T
- DVB-T is digital television and therefore means improved picture and sound quality compared to analog television. Nevertheless, in contrast to cable reception, no monthly fees are due, because DVB-T is freely available everywhere, just as you are used to from aerial television.
- Compared to the previous terrestrial television, you can now receive many more programs and, under certain circumstances, also enjoy Eurosport via DVB-T. In Berlin, for example, there are more than 20 programs available. In the country, however, reception is usually not possible in this variety.
- In order to be able to watch DVB-T, you need next to the television (or computer) a receiver and an antenna to receive the data. In cities, an indoor antenna is often sufficient for good reception.
- Of course, you have to pay the broadcasting fees for your household, but there are no other regular costs, you only have to invest once in the hardware.
- You can receive Eurosport via DVB-T in Berlin and parts of North Rhine-Westphalia, for example. The exact dates and all other information can be found on the homepage DVB-T portal.
- The distribution of Eurosport via DVB-T was unfortunately stopped in 2010 in many regions of Germany.
