• There are currently two smart cards for HD-Plus on the market. These differ not only from the outside, but also in the chips installed on the card.
• The white card is the older version. A newer version is the black card. Only this card is still sold (as of 2012).
• There is a kind of timer on the card, which actually counts the time backwards after activating the card. So it happens that after 12 months the validity of the card has expired.
• Do not top up the HD-Plus card until you have received a notice about renewal on your screen appears.

Recharge the HD Plus card - it is possible in two ways

You can top up your HD-Plus card by purchasing a top-up from a specialist retailer or TV shop. You can also do this over the Internet. Here's how you do it.

1. Take the HD-Plus card out of your HD-Plus receiver. You will find the card number on the card. You need this number for top-ups via the Internet.

2. Now go to the website of HD plus.
3. There you look for the button "HD + Extension" and click on it.
4. Another page opens. There you can read instructions on how to continue charging. There you will also find the field in which you have to enter your card number.
5. Now enter your card number. The card number is checked immediately.
6. With the button "Direct to the checkout" you can enter your data, such as billing address, name, etc. Pay attention to the compulsory subjects marked with a red star.
7. Follow the further instructions on the screen until the ordering process is complete.
8. The HD-Plus card recharge is now done. Have fun with another year of HD Plus on TV.
