How you properly connect an antenna cable to your TV depends on many things.

  • But don't worry. DVB means digital Video Broadcasting and, as a rule, every new television set today has all three necessary antenna connections.

How to connect your antenna cable to the TV

  1. When you have a new TV with full connectivity, it's easiest. You can connect the antenna cable (s) directly to the corresponding DVB connections.
  2. The antenna plugs to be used depend on the design of your television set. The cables have F connectors for satellite or IEC connectors for cables and terrestrial antennas. There may be other connections on the TV. As a rule, however, adapters are included with the television so that you have simply solved the problem.
  3. The connections are provided with the respective DBV ID, so you cannot make a mistake here either. DBV-S stands for the antenna cable from the satellite system, the DBV-C is for the cable connection and DBV-T for the terrestrial antenna.
  4. If you are using satellite and do not have a receiver built into the TV, you must of course switch one in between. Then connect the antenna cable to the receiver and then connect it to the television using a scart cable. The same applies to other conversions such. B. on HD etc.
