However, if there are also small splashes of wax on the glass, you can only remove them by scraping. Use a ceramic hob scraper or a knife, which you draw and slide as flat as possible with the cutting edge over the glass plate. Carefully wipe the dissolved wax off the glass plate. If there is a large amount of wax that you need to remove, it may be worth using a vacuum cleaner. With it you simply suck the loosened wax crumbs from the glass plate.

  1. The wax has been removed, but unfortunately there are still greasy stains and streaks on the glass. You have to get to grips with them now. Use nail polish remover for this. The acetone it contains is sharp, but cannot damage the glass. Please do not use this method on other surfaces! Soak a paper towel in acetone and rub the smeared area quickly. Please don't skimp on nail polish remover or paper. The acetone evaporates quickly and the glass is immediately dry again. However, if you look closely, it has left a whitish layer on the glass. You will certainly want to remove these.
  2. To do this, put glass cleaner on a microfiber cloth and carefully wipe the glass plate with the soaked cloth.
