A flower wreath can be designed creatively

  • Many children like to take daisies, put the daisy heads close together, knot the two, and twist a third daisy around. The further you continue with this, the longer the strand of flowers becomes, until you can finally tie it together into a wreath of flowers. But unfortunately this technology doesn't last long.
  • Older children have learned other techniques. Slit open the style of the daisy at the neck, insert the second flower through it and twist the strands. In this way, too, the children received a wreath of flowers. But even this design did not have a long lifespan.
  • Some children have also taken strands of ivy, braided them and put daisies in between them while braiding. The technique held up quite well and everyone who could do it was proud of their wreath of flowers.

This is how a wreath of flowers becomes durable

The most durable method, however, is when tufts of grass tied into a wreath create a stable ring shape. And this is how it goes:

  1. Look for very long grasses. Under no circumstances should the grass be shorter than 10 cm, otherwise it will not work. Grasses 20 cm long would be better. And see where you can find the right flowers for your floral wreath. You can take cornflowers, daisies, daisies or even buttercups.
  2. Flowers for your hair - this is how you weave wreaths of flowers from mini roses

In spring and summer, it is a good idea to make beautiful jewelry with flowers for the ...

  3. Put some grasses in a thin tuft. It is best to sort out a few tufts of grass and lay them in front of you. Then it is easier than if you have to walk across the meadow while picking. It also makes sense that you already have the flowers in front of you.
  4. So now you have the first strand of grass in your hand and take a second strand of grass with the other. Place the second strand next to the first and bend it around ½ height to the first strand at a 90 ° angle.
  5. Wrap this angled strand of grass around the folded area so that the tip of the second strand of grass is now opposite to the outside. Now take the third strand and proceed exactly as before.
  6. But now at the latest, with the third strand, you have to start to include your flowers. To do this, simply lay out the flowers and tie them in. You should not bend the flowers so that the heads do not fall off.
  7. In between, measure how long your strand of flowers has become. When it goes around your head, join the two ends and tangle them together. You can also knot the ends together for better durability.
  8. Tip: If you can't find grasses that are so long, you can make the wreath out of bast. The more confident you become in tying such a wreath of flowers, the sooner you can start adding flowers. Have fun with your new flower wreath!
