Egg color must be labeled
- In principle, eggs must be labeled when they are sold. In the case of colored eggs, the packaging must also state that they are colored eggs. If these are sold in bulk, this must also be noted on a sign.
- The egg color, which is used for the eggs in the trade, is approved by food law and therefore harmless to humans. In addition, the eggs are usually coated with a resin, and if the shell is undamaged, the egg can be eaten without hesitation.
