Stickers and their residues can usually be removed by the following substances: water, oil containing (e.g. oil) B. How to remove stickers depends on the material
- Before bringing up heavier artillery, you should first try water. Soak the sticker in water (if necessary, use dishwashing detergent to help), then scrub it with a damp cloth or a kitchen towel. - If that doesn't help, apply something oily to the sticker, let the substance soak and soak in before peeling the sticker off. The heat it generates can have an extremely negative effect on materials such as (car) paint, plastic, etc.
- If stickers or their remains are particularly unruly against removing them, try a combination of the methods described above if necessary. Example: First heat the sticker with a hairdryer, then coat it with oil or margarine. Let the oil take effect, then peel off the sticker.
- Scrapers, such as those used for ceramic hobs, can in some cases be used well for scraping off sticker residue. Unfortunately, caution must be exercised here as well. Not all of these scrapers are suitable, make sure that there are no grooves on the cutting edge that could scratch the material. On some objects it is better not to use the scraper at all.
