Prepare the broccoli tasty

  • Broccoli tastes best when not in water cooked, but gently steamed.
  • To do this, you need a steamer insert for the saucepan. This ensures that the broccoli does not lie directly in the water, but is gently cooked by the hot steam that rises from the boiling water.
  • If you don't have a steamer insert and want to first try out whether you like steamed vegetables, you can also use a metal spaghetti strainer for steaming.
  • This should be big enough that you can place it on the saucepan and there is enough space between the bottom of the pan and the bottom of the sieve so that the sieve does not protrude into the boiling water.
  • Boil broccoli
